Butlins social campaign – ‘#PreciousDays’

Proposition:

To develop and produce content for Butlins social accounts during their summer campaign, encouraging people to enter their competition to win a Butlins break.

Overview:

Butlins alongside Spirit launched their #PreciousDays competition this summer to give people a opportunity to socially share photos of special moments that they’ve had with their families. As a result, each week a winning picture was chosen. The family behind the winning photo won a weeks break at a Butlins resort of their choice and as well as a video camera to document their time.

 

The idea was to create daily content to be shared on each of the Butlins’ social accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) as well as video content for their YouTube channel, including filming each of the winning families breaks.

 

The campaign was designed to bring families together and providing a place where people can show others what moments in time have been special to them. With it being the summer holidays it also gave those that entered the competition the chance to experience a holiday that they may not have had before, or may not have been able to afford.

After the 6 week period of the summer competition, we then opened another one up for families to have a second chance at winning a bonus break later on in the year.
